If you are a dog owner, walker or cyclist, there's a lot for you to do around Greenacres. The Staffordshire Way and the Alton to Denstone Railway path are both within 5 minutes walk away, and a little further is the well-known Tissington trail. The nationally-famous mountain bike trails at Cannock Chase are half an hour away. If you're a birdwatcher, there is a spectacular murmuration of starlings over nearby Rocester and JCB lake at dusk each day and the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust Visitor Centre is about half an hour away.

Denstone is an attractive village, with a lively pub (The Tavern), and the award-winning Denstone Hall farm shop, both within walking distance. A little further away is Ashbourne ("the Gateway to the Peaks"), and the Tissington Trail Long-distance path.   

The beautiful woodlands near Ellastone are 10 minutes away.
